Barak ha lasciato il suo lavoro di ricercatore universitario in Elettrochimica; prima di esplorare il sentiero accademico ha lavorato come insegnante di scuola superiore a Haifa; come guida al Madatech, Museo di Scienza e Tecnologia; come insegnante di lingua inglese qualificato in Cina; come insegnante di scienze in lingua italiana all’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Haifa; come impacchettatore di gamberi e musicista di strada in Irlanda. È un educatore nel cuore; le sue passioni vanno dalle lingue straniere alla scienza, dai viaggi zaino in spalla alla musica folk e tradizionale.

Nelle sue vite precedenti, Elena ha ottenuto un dottorato in Politiche per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile; è stata Cultore della Materia e insegnante di Storia e Politiche del Medio Oriente, ricercatrice free lance sullo sviluppo urbano al Cairo, insegnante di lingua inglese qualificata dal Cambridge English Language Assessment, traduttrice, insegnante di lingua italiana e infine mamma a tempo pieno e home-educator in Inghilterra. Appassionata da sempre alle tematiche sociali ed ambientali, ama leggere, scrivere, correre, filare, tessere e cucire ed è una chiacchierona.

Before jumping off the academic wagon as a science researcher in the field of Electrochemistry, Barak worked as: a chemistry teacher in an Israeli high school, a science guide at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Haifa, a qualified CELTA English teacher in Harbin, China, a science teacher at the Italian Institute of Culture in Haifa, a shrimp packer and a busker in Ireland. He is an educator at heart and has gained substantial experience in various methods of teaching. His interests range from languages to science, folk music and backpacking.

In her previous lives, Elena has been a PhD student in Policies for Sustainable Development, an assistant lecturer of Middle Eastern History, a free lance researcher in urban development in Cairo, a qualified CELTA English teacher, an Italian teacher in Israel, a translator and finally a full-time mum and home-educator in England. She has a deep-rooted interest for social and environmental issues, she loves reading, writing, running, spinning, weaving, sewing and chatting.

Together they have embarked on a journey to find reward and satisfaction by following the values they believe in and immersing themselves with what they love doing. A journey to build a community of like minded people while impacting their surrounding in a positive way. Stepping lightly on the environment. Cherishing the thrills, the fears and the human interaction a long the way.
